Well.

so, this Halloween we were bringing some beer over to the party at blairs house. i was originally going to go as a folding protein, but everyone laughed at the idea. and then i was forced to join into the mariachi band.

now, i really wanted to outsource the whole mariachi band to fernando, but, alas, the mighty one man mariachi band substitute no longer lives in canada. such a shame. so, another reason i had to go along with it. but, in protest, i dressed up as the “lamest” mariachi band member. HA! i showed them, and not letting me go as a protein! who gets the last laugh now. not me. thats for sure.

Anyways, theres us. later in the evening we found out that erik steffan is actually poncho villa reincarnated. seriously.
there were some other good costumes at the party, like ali g actually came over from england, and follow the flickr picture if you want to see some of the other pictures. i didnt take a lot last night.

Well, last night dave and i went out to ubc to go flying. i pulled a stunt were i left one battery in the car noa took, and then ended up not having the other charged, and running out of batteries for the transmitter. but thats neither here nor there.

anyways, we got to the field, and saw 2 guys with some planes. so we went over and said hi. sadly, there were a bunch of kids playing soccer on the field, so we eneded not even flying much. the guy with the huge glider did some flights, and i was pretty impressed. it was super powerful, sturdy, and flew really well.

im going to rig my discus glider now so i can do aerotow’s behind that huge motorglider. gonna try to do that this weekend.

Its been a busy last few weeks since i last posted. lets see if i can recount anything, or at least the major highlights.

going to most recently, was sheryl’s birthday party at her house in surrey. the whole Hepler hotel crew went, and there were lots of surrey folks there too. the highlight was karaoke, and with that i mean watching rafer sing.

everyone had a great time, as you can see above. (ie. alvin rockin out)

noa and i won a free weeding cake a month ago, so we went and tried out different types and decided on one last weekend also.

following the cake testing, the HH (hepler hotel) went into overdrive, and we bottled 90 bottles in order to clear some room for beer in the basement. the garage is too cold for the beer!

Other than that, not much going on right now. im up at brule until tomorrow, and ive gotten some good pictures. im waiting to get back to a real internet connection to upload the pictures.
