Ferret Bath fun

So, we gave yogurt and ginger their first bath last week. you shouldn’t bath ferrets much more than once a month, because their skin has oils that they need, and you don’t want to dry out their skin. but it was time, to see if our little buggers liked water or not.

so, we filled a little bath water, and well, ill let the pictures show the rest.

in they go!

they seemed pretty calm in the water, as if they were just trying to figure out what was going on.
and the most fun part of the whole thing, is drying them off after!

Superstition mountains

So, erik and i decided to hike superstition mountains. we decided this after our umteenth lunch/dinner, on christmas day. erik had mentioned he tried to hike up a few times before, never making it.

So, the next day, we woke up at the crack of 9, and drove out to the mountain. erik and i put our heads down, and got to hiking. it took us about an hour to get to a point where the path split, one path going straight up a ravine, for what looked like another hour. We looked at it, and said, no way, and took the other path, which was about a 30 min hike along the top of a ridge. we got up there, after our hour and a half hike, and rested.

thats when i finally got out the camera, to take some pictures of the view, and to take pictures on the way down.

Model Airplane Update

Well, over the holidays, i built a new RC airplane for my dad, the SE5. Its a small electric that is a biplane, and to be a trainer for my dad. well, we got it all set up and were ready to fly on a nice sunny day , which wasn’t too windy.

The first flight was pretty good, she flys fast like a banshee, and was super twitchy. i did a flew circles, and came in for a landing, and took a little tumble, and dented the wing. nothing bad though, we patched it up quickly, and decided to go to a real flying field that we know.

PC239448

Well, there were a few people at the other flying field. its a big grass field, compared to the desert we were flying before. we watched some other people fly, then decided to give the SE5 another go. So, i took off, started a big lazy circle, and just as i was coming back around, i flew right into the sun, lost sight of the plane, of course, panicked, turned sharply, and dove her right straight into the ground!!

so, that didnt go very well. i later figured out what it is. i didnt take the time to set the control throws on the ailerons, elevator and rudder. (how much they move up and down)

but even that doesnt keep us back long. we patched her up in a few nights. the only sad thing is i didint have the chance to go back out and fly again.

a few last things. here is a giant free flight that my dad has. you start the motor, and throw! and hope for the best.

Lastly, here is a gas trainer that i started building when i was in holland, and we finally got it almost ready to fly, but again didn’t have chance too.
