Well, we decided after the second period finished to get the heck out of dodge. we ended up walking to the other side of downtown. There was a lot of unrest already at that point. so we watched the rest of the game in the safety of an apartment. ended up heading home around 9:30. i snapped this picture of the moon rising thru the smoke of all the car fires.

So the canucks are in vancouver for game 7 of the stanley cup tonight. We believe they will win, so we have come downtown to ground zero of the festivities, cbc square, and to be more specific, inside library square pub. We lined up at 11:30 in order to get in. Its now almost 3, a few hours to go!

Earlier this year in april I visited tucson again for the yearly conference form the mining software we use. last years blog post. its a week at a resort in tucson, and its usually really nice weather, and sunny, and the cacti are just starting to bloom! well, this year we had a really wet start to the year, so the flowers were just starting to come out towards the end of my stay. ocatillio’s blooming are probably one of my favorites.
