Noa and Jaime ran the scotiabank half marathon this weekeend, noa’s second race, and jaime’s first. they were both troopers making it to the end in great time. i had a lot of fun driving and biking around, trying to take pictures of them at different points in the race. The race started and UBC and ended at stanley park. there were a lot of people that ran and a gorilla. he finished. woot, here we go! km 14 near the finish noa finishing jaime…
Well, we decided after the second period finished to get the heck out of dodge. we ended up walking to the other side of downtown. There was a lot of unrest already at that point. so we watched the rest of the game in the safety of an apartment. ended up heading home around 9:30. i snapped this picture of the moon rising thru the smoke of all the car fires.
So the canucks are in vancouver for game 7 of the stanley cup tonight. We believe they will win, so we have come downtown to ground zero of the festivities, cbc square, and to be more specific, inside library square pub. We lined up at 11:30 in order to get in. Its now almost 3, a few hours to go!
