our second foray to get wild hops turned out well this weekend. erik stefan and i harvested the same bush i found last time, and we collected about 2lb’s in the end (ish). the good news is we found an even larger field of hops, growing over a bunch of blackberries! so we intend on going out again during the week, with many more people, to collect as many as we can while they are still good! i cant wait to brew beer with hand…
no excuses. i forgot to post since i got back from my tumbler trip. anyways. ill make a general post in that case, that kinda covers everything. first off, i made the greatest discovery ever yesterday. wild hops. we drive past them, and i stopped, looked again, grabbed one, tasted it, and was like, HOPS! so i began to collect as many as i could before anyone saw me. wasnt sure if it was allowed or not.. going to use em in the next brew,…
oops, i forgot to mention i got back on thursady night. i have the pictures uploaded, but i didnt blog about them yet. dan got back on friday, so we have been brewing both yesterday and today. today we also went flying with his little cousins, and we did all kinds of bomb drops and parachute drops with the piper cub. lots of fun.
