Mexico City, Anthropology Museum

On the last day of our first week in Mexico City, people were to start arriving that evening for the wedding.  but we still had the day to spend, so we decided to go to the anthropology museum in the morning.  Noa had been before, so it was mostly for me.  I had read the history of Mexico the previous day in our guide book on the bus tour, so i had some things i really wanted to see, and others that were not as important to me.

and then we got inside.  i did not take a lot of photos of things, but mostly of things that seemed pretty amazing to me

then we met a friend and we went to eat yucatecan food.  it was super interesting seeing the differences between it and what we have eaten elsewhere.  one of their specialties is slow roasting different meats so they become so tender and soft!

Then we went for a quick tour of the national palace, in order to see the murals drawn by Diego Rivera.

The murals are just amazing, and probably one of my highlights of the trip.  we had them explained to us, as there is so much going on there.  and there were ones for different periods of time also.  just fantastic.

We ended off the day by going to the Hotel Condesa in order to meet up with the groom’s family, who had just arrived into town.  while there we had a beautiful sunset.

then everyone was hungry so we went to our fish taco place again!  ordered a margarita for everyone at the table.  good times were had!  and good food and drinks!
