During the great west coast summer extravaganza of 2013, noa and i continued towards Seattle with my parents. The idea was that after spending 2 weeks on cortes island they would drive through vancouver and pick us up and we would all spend the weekend together in seattle. Noa and I had booked a cute little air bnb apartment just N of the downtown core, and we left on a friday morning in order to get to seattle for lunch.
no trip to seattle is complete without a stop at serious pie. we got it out of the way at 11 am on friday. that places fills up fast. it is still our favourite pizza in the world. there are some close seconds though.

that night we ate at a serious vegetarian restaurant called Sutra. pretty amazing food.
the following morning we followed that with… Serious Biscuit. yes, same people as serious pie. but just with biscuits. damn.

that night we ate at flying fish to get some local seafood into us.
the following morning we had to drop my mom off at the airport. we ate at serious biscuit again, as the place we wanted to go had too long of a line.
my dad drove us back to vancouver on sunday, with the intent of driving us back towards portland and heading home the following thursday.
overall it was a super enjoyable and relaxed visit to seattle. i dont get to spend a lot of time with my parents anymore, me living where i do, but getting to see them for the weekend while sharing our foodie version of seattle with them was super fun.
Katie and I enjoyed our last trip to Seattle as well, it’s a different culture from Vancouver. We were at the Fairmont, which is right across the street from that building you took a photo of (the one that tapers down at the bottom). Good pics
