Walking in Amsterdam

Well, i went exploring in amsterdam again today. it really is a great city. we just walked down the main shopping street, towards the central station, which is the train station.

i really do love all the canals in amsterdam, and especially all the boats. its cool seeing some of these house boats that people live in.
the next thing we went to go see was the Anne Frank house. ive been inside it before, so we just took a picture, but its still interesting to go see. it appears they were working on the museum that is next to it, and the museum even has a restaurant in it!

i took up so many pictures, and it hard to write things and show them all. here is the main street that leads to central station, and some really pretty row houses along one of the canals.

of course, theres also the amsterdam sex museum, which is right across the street from the Red Light district. It appears they are working on it right now. i never have been inside there, but i think its always a hightlight for all the tourists.

Lastly, i wanted to take a picture of all the bikes in front of central station. if you think theres a lot of bike riders where you are from, well, its nothing until you see the amount of bikes there are in holand, and parked here. its absolutley insane. also, many dutch people tend to paint their bikes funny colors, they say so that if it is stolen, its easier to find again in the future.

Anyways, i am going to Brussels tomorrow, leaving in the morning, its a 3 hour train ride, meet our 2 friends from highschool after work, and leave about at 9 in the evening to come home. havent seen these friends of mine since high school, so its going to be great.

so, then, on friday we leave for england to see another one of my high school friends. he lives on the coast, in Brighton, but we are flying into London. we will be there for about 4 days, and then we are flying to France, to visit my god mother for 5 days or so, and then its back home here to amsterdam. so its a busy time coming up here.
