So, we started out our trip by driving two and half hours North and East of Tel-Aviv to a small town in Northern Galilee called Rosh Pina. it is very common for Israeli’s to take a vacation north and rent what they call Tzimmer’s. In german, Zimmer mean “room”. But what these Tzimmers are small 1 room houses, that are rented out for these short vacations. the cool thing is that, they all have things like hot tubs as standard, to its pretty fun to stay in one. here is the tzimmer that we stayed at. we thought the online pictures of the place definatly made it seem a lot nicer than it was, but it was still nice.
so, anyways. the next day, after we arrived, we drove up N of the sea of galilee along the Jordan river valley. we went to a place that rented out these canoe’s, and lets you float down the river, and a few fun rapids. we decided on the longer route, which we were told takes about 2hours, and took us 8 km from where we get dropped off back to the starting point. sadly, we didint take the camera, because these canoes we used have holes in the bottom of them, so, as we floated down the jordan, we were basically sitting in water the whole time. so it is a good thing that we did not take the camera, but its a real shame, cause i would of got some really nice pictures. i did get one of others climbing out as they finished though.
That evening we visited a city called Tiberias, which is right on the sea of Galilee. it was a really nice city, but way too much traffic for our tastes. so, we parked as fast as we could, and went walking along the boardwalk and ate some dinner. as we were eating, we were watching boat tours go out, some replicas of the exact type of fishing boats that used to float around in the old days.
The following day, we made our way to the jordan river delta, and a horse back riding guide. here is a picture of us waiting for the guide coming in with some other people who went out with him. The horse back riding wa a lot of fun. we covered some really stone covered ground, and its amazing to think that this is what they had to cover on foot a lot of the times in bibical times. going down to the river was awsome, and it was fun taking the horses across the river. makes you really want to horseback ride more. we even saw a huge wild boar. the thing was humongous. i wish i had gotten a good picture of it, but it ran right away when we came close.
Next, we went to a city called Zfat, which was pretty much on a side of a steep mountain, in a huge valley. it was pretty cool how they made it, but i would hate to have to live there. while there, we saw busloads of what seemed english speaking army people. i think it was that program where anyone can apply to join the israeli army for a time, and they show you around israel at the same time too.
On the last day, we left early and drove to Haifa, which is the big port town . here they have this wonderfully huge garden that we heared was very beautiful, and we wanted to go see it. it was on the way home anyways, so it was perfect. well, once we got there, we found out your not actually allowed in unless you go on the guided tour, which we had just missed.. so, we just took pictures and came home.
It was really a great trip overall, and we had a great time. it rained today here in Tel-aviv, giving me internet time, so i had to upload these pictures, and update my blog.

Glad that you had a good time in northern Israel: Rosh Pina, Tiberias, Zfat, and Haifa. I have heared the name Galilee Sea from Bible.
In Karme Yosef, Noa’s hometown, you met many family members and attended a Israel wedding. That’s wonderful time!
I will bring a wireless router when I have a tirp next time. Thanks for your advice.
